Biography

Take Notice is everything that is fun, upbeat and energetic about Pop Punk. They are an ambitious group of kids from Metro-Detroit, Michigan who are nothing but optimistic and excited about their future within the music industry. Bringing to the stage a thrilling blend of catchy vocal melodies and hard-hitting music, their sole objective is to capture the hearts of millions and having the time of their lives while doing it.

After being a band for a short 6 months Take Notice inked a deal with I Surrender Records, whose roster has included pop punk sensations Four Year Strong and Valencia. Shortly after, the band headed to Fullerton, California to record with acclaimed Producer/Engineer Kyle Homme who has recorded such acts as Finch and Sugarcult.

Upon completion of their upcoming full-length debut, slated for an early spring release on I Surrender Records, they will begin touring internationally with distribution in Japan, Australia and the United Kingdom. They are confident and committed in their goal of becoming one of the most prominent bands in the scene. And their audience has caught that same spark — the music-going world waits with great anticipation for what Take Notice has to offer.

Some background info on the band

We formed in late 2008 and were in talks with multiple indie labels within 3 months of securing a full lineup (including Victory, Ferret, I Surrender). We hit it off really well with I Surrender and were offered a great contract, which factored in hugely with our signing with them (not the mention they're very well connected!). Originally our music consisted of a more fast-paced, 'punk' influenced Pop Punk. Our sound has recently matured to a more mainstream, marketable-while-still-heavy-hitting Pop Punk. We absolutely do not aim to sound like any other band, but our newer material calls to mind the likes of A Day To Remember meets (older) All Time Low, Fall Out Boy's Take This To Your Grave meets Four Year Strong. Our music has become much more accessible to listeners, and luckily enough, we love it even more now!

What we are looking for in a lead singer

In order for us to become one of the biggest pop punk bands of all time, we need somebody who is absolutely ready to take on the role of the frontman of Take Notice. You need to possess a star quality. We're looking for the next Craig Owens, Oli Sykes, Alex Gaskarth. We are looking for somebody with a fairly high range, capable of clean, powerful — NOT nasally or whiny — vocals. Besides that, we just want someone who is super fun to hang out with and easy to get along with! We're looking for somebody 18-23 years of age, and image is very important to us.

What you need to be prepared for

Once the album is released, we will begin touring full-time for many years to come. We will be touring up to 10 months out of the year, playing 250+ shows a year. Warped Tour and overseas! You really have to be ready for this! Our record label has distribution through RED distribution, which is a subsidiary of Sony — we will have CD's in Best Buy, FYE, Hot Topic, iTunes, etc.
